I'm taking on the 100 Miles Challenge this year to support Social Bite

I'm taking on the 100 Miles Challenge this year to support Social Bite break the cycle of homelessness, running a total of 100 miles throughout September and finishing on World Homeless Day on October 10th.

This challenge will raise vital funds to expand the innovative work of Social Bite in providing homes, jobs, and food. Social Bite believes everyone deserves a safe place to call home, that a job can be truly transformative for someone who has experienced homelessness, and that food is one of the most powerful engagement tools to help signpost people to access the support needed.

Friday 12th Sep
Since September 1st I've now run 40K :) While that does mean I'm about 8K behind the 4K a day a target, it's still the most I've ever run in such a short amount of time. I've done one "make up day" so far where I ran 8K to make up for a previous missed day so it shouldn't be too hard to do it again a few times.

I found a new route that's a lot more flat than my usual, so that will probably be my go-to from now on.

Saturday 6th Sep
Looks like we're on track! I have run 4km per day over the past 6 days. I missed a couple of days but ran extra on the following days so we're on track to hit the 100 miles by October the 10th :)

I'll be running the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run (half marathon) on October 5th in Glasgow and that will be 13 miles in one day! I think I'll have earned my rest days after that.
