How does my venue sign up?

Click on the register now button. You will be able to search for your venue name to join the team

Do I have to register as part of my venue?

Yes, you will need to join your venue's team. However you will have your own unique individual fundraising page as well you can personalise with your own challenge.

Does each team member taking part need to register?

We'd recommend each team member who is taking part completes a registration. This means each member can share their page across their own network as well to maximise donations..

Do all our team members need to be M&B employees?

Yes, for this challenge we would ask that only M&B employees register. If you have friends or family wanting to support, they can share your venue's team page across their own socials.

Tracking your miles

How does each team member track their miles?

Once each team member register, they'll be able to connect their fitness app to track their miles or add in their miles manually.

You can connect a fitness app or upload activity manually by logging into your account and accessing the dashboard.

Can I track my miles with a fitness app?

Yes, once you have registered you will be able to connect your fitness app to automatically track your mileage throughout the challenge. You can connect Fitbit or Garmin to your page.

Do I need to provide evidence I have completed my miles?

No, don’t worry, we trust you! You don’t need to provide any evidence that you completed your challenge to us. But we do suggest that you share your success with your friends, family, colleagues and anyone else who has supported you, by updating your fundraising page. Keeping them posted with progress updates, photos, and how you’re getting on is a great way to keep them and yourself engaged with the challenge

How do we complete our 100 miles?

You and your team can take on your 100 Mile Challenge any way you wish! You could walk, run, or cycle 100 miles each across the month of September, take it all on as a collective team in one day, or hire exercise bikes into your venue for a weekend.

Fundraising

How do I create a fundraising page?

When you complete your registration, your own unique fundraising page will be automatically created for you

How do I access my fundraising page?

Once you register, you will have log in details you can use to access and edit your fundraising page. You will also receive these login details via email.

Is there a set minimum fundraising I need to reach?

There is no minimum amount of fundraising for this challenge. We recommend that participants set a fundraising target of at least £100 (per person for teams). This could provide up to 20 meals for someone experiencing homelessness.

Can I collect cash donations through our till rather than use the online fundraising page?

Yes we'd recommend doing both! 

You can collect donations online via your fundraising page, and you can also collect cash donations via your tills. If you are unsure of how best to process donations through your till, please speak to your RBM.

I've collected donations using the online fundraising page. Do I need to do anything else to get the donations to Social Bite?

No you don't need to do anything extra. All the donations collected via your online fundraising page come directly through to us automatically.

Can I fundraise for a different charity?

The 100 MILE CHALLENGE is a fundraising campaign created by Social Bite, so all fundraising must go directly to Social Bite. It is not possible to fundraise for another charity through this campaign.

Fundraising Materials

How can I create a QR code for my fundraising page?

Once you have registered as part of your venue, your team captain can log into your team's account and access the dashboard menu at the top right hand side of the page.

Once on your dashboard navigate to share my page and you will have the option to download a QR code.

Are there downloadable materials to help our fundraising?

Yes you can download materials to help support your venue's fundraising via our Resources Hub

Can we get Social Bite T shirts?

You can order Social Bite T shirts via the GetIt system for you and your team to wear when taking on the 100 Mile Challenge.

Can we get collection tins/buckets?

You can order Social Bite collection tins or buckets via the GetIt system for your venue.
